Mihai Goțiu and Emanuel Ungureanu no longer sit in Parliament. Eligible locations in Cluj, only for PLUS. Goțiu attacks Cioloș

USR deputies, Mihai Goțiu (senator) and Emanuel Ungureanu (deputy), did not get an eligible place on the USR-PLUS list for the December parliamentary elections, following the internal vote in the Cluj organization. Eligible places were filled by PLUS members, and Goțiu accuses the lack of an internal debate: “It takes more than 13 minutes for an interview to hire a goalkeeper,” Senator Mihai Goțiu wrote on Facebook.

The 120 delegates who participated in the District Conference of the USR-PLUS Cluj Organization voted, on Sunday, the list of the branch for the December parliamentary elections. PLUS was better represented in the elections, with 72 delegates, while USR had only 48. Thus, the eligible seats were filled by PLUS members.

In the Chamber of Deputies, the first place on the list is occupied by lawyer Oana Murariu, PLUS Cluj member, who has not been active in politics. Second place, also eligible, will be held by Viorel Băltărețu, also from PLUS. Only in third place, possibly eligible, was a member of the USR, Radu Molnar. Current Cluj USR MP Emanuel Ungureanu was only in fifth place.

In the Senate, Mihai Goțiu was ranked second and has very little chance of entering Parliament. At the top of the list of USR-PLUS senators from Cluj is Cristian Bordei, a member of PLUS.

“Today, in the USR PLUS Branch, internal elections were held for the nomination of parliamentary candidates. I managed to convince most of my colleagues at USR to vote for me. Unfortunately, I managed to convince only one hand of the PLUS delegates (there were 72 PLUS delegates and 48 USR delegates at the Conference; how he got here is too long a story). Beyond the result of the vote, the bitterness does not come from the fact that I did not convince them, but that I did not have the opportunity to convince the PLUS representatives. With difficulty I got the phone numbers of some of them, to be able to speak directly, introduce myself and debunk the “myths” that some “benefactors” sowed in their group, “wrote Mihai Goțiu., On Facebook.

Goțiu also attacks the president of PLUS, co-president of the USR-PLUS Alliance, Dacian Cioloș and criticizes the lack of in-depth discussions.

The “full” internal discussion was limited to a presentation and response to a few questions, with a total allotted time of 11 minutes. To which 2 minutes of presentation were added, at the inauguration of the Regional Conference, today. In total … 13 minutes.

I would be happy if Cristian Bordei (from PLUS), the one who reached the top of the list (I have no illusions in my case, 2nd place is not eligible for the Senate), does at least what I did for the environment, to waters and forests. Or for anything else that changes things for the better, in Romania. Without malice, I say, however, that I do not know him. An interview for hiring a goalkeeper takes more than 13 minutes (…). For Dacian Cioloș, I will have more questions (even if what happened in the last week in Cluj is the way we changed politics in Romania) ”, writes Mihai Goțiu.
