Monday was the first real day of summer of the year. In the southern part of the country, thermometers also indicated 36 degrees Celsius. That doesn’t mean a hot week is coming.
Conversely! Rains and storms are coming. Also, a cloud of Saharan dust is heading towards us and we will feel the effects on Monday night.
Meteorologists say the Sahara dust cloud is heading south, central and southeast Europe, areas where it will rain, so the water will further dilute the concentration of red dust particles in the atmosphere, which will reach us from 10 pm
Also at this time, a warning issued by meteorologists announces rains and storms in the west, north and center of the country. Saharan dust will be observed, experts say, and tomorrow in the early part of the day, especially in mountainous and mountainous areas, as well as in the center and northeast of the country. It seems hard to believe that the weather changes so much in the next few hours, especially after today was a perfect day at the beach.
Normally, in May, 23, 24 degrees are recorded in Bucharest, but today it was unusual heat.
In the Sector 2 National Park of the Capital, recently reopened for the population, the air temperature measured 30 degrees. At the asphalt level, however, it was 40 degrees, in the shade we had a difference of almost 20 degrees, and at the level of the rubber pavement, the temperature reached almost 70 degrees Celsius.
After two months of isolation, the heat did not bother those who came to the park for short sports activities too much. The beautiful weather made a young woman’s birthday more beautiful.
Celebrated with balloons: “Last year at this time I was at the mall. Now we are less, we drink less, we have stayed at home until now and we have decided to go out a bit.”
However, meteorologists warn that rains and towns are coming.
Oana Catrina, meteorologist at ANM: “From this afternoon until tomorrow morning, locally in the west, center and north, we expect periods of atmospheric instability, rain, lightning, isolated hail. The showers will also have a torrential character and the amounts of water will exceed 15, 20 l / m2 ”.
Tomorrow it will be marked by a yellow code for bad weather. The storms will cover the entire country, but in areas in the south of the country it will still be warm, with temperatures of 29 degrees, but due to the wind you can feel much lower values. Forecasters say the weather will be particularly warm again on Thursday.
Oana Catrina, meteorologist at ANM: “The news is good for the city of Bucharest after May 14. At noon, 30, possibly 31 degrees will be registered in the city center. ”
The weather will be warm not only during the day but also at night. According to meteorologists, on Thursday at midnight in Bucharest we will have 25 degrees.
So far, data collected from meteorological satellites shows that episodes of instability will be present throughout the week and we will have large temperature differences between rainy and sunny areas. For example, on Saturday at noon in Maramureș there will only be 8 degrees, while in Călărași, in the south of the country, it will be 30.
On Sunday the rains move toward the coast, and next week the weather will be just as whimsical.
