Sources quoted by CNN said, prior to this tweet, that Melania Trump would have tried to convince the incumbent president to publicly accept her defeat.
According to projections, Democratic candidate Joe Biden gathered more than 270 electoral votes, the minimum number to secure his election.
However, Trump has contested this result and is accused of electoral fraud, even if, according to the Federal Election Commission, there is no evidence in this regard.
He announced that his campaign team will go to court on Monday to challenge the vote count that they consider “illegal.”
