Medical personnel have not yet received the promised bonus from the President and the Government to those who come into contact with patients infected with the new coronavirus, Health Minister Nelu Tataru told Europa FM. The minister claims that the reason the doctors did not receive the 2,500 lei is that the hospitals did not send the names of those who qualify for the bonus payment. Not even for March.

“We are nominally waiting for the lists presented by the heads of the health units. I did not get it from any hospital. We are waiting for the nomination. There are still discussions in these hospitals, who are the people. We have created a legislative framework through which we can pay, subsidize, these people who have worked. It remains to be seen who these people are. We don’t have a central level to know, “said Nelu Tătaru.

When asked if he was bothered by the delay of hospital managers in presenting the list of those who had patients with the new coronavirus in March, the minister replied: the local public shows that it bothers us, as you said, because we have to do orders in hospitals. As long as we have management based on criteria other than medical or management, we will have these situations. “

The minister says some employees have complained to the ministry about late payments or the list of people who would not normally have this right. The money was promised by President Klaus Iohannis in mid-March, when medical personnel from various hospitals threatened to resign.

The Health Minister says that he has taken into account the payments of 75 thousand people and has 120 million euros of European money.
