Cluj County also enters the red stage after Bucharest and Alba: the infection rate rose to 3.05 per thousand inhabitants. Cluj Prefect Mircea Abrudan spoke with Digi24 about the measures to be taken in the county.
„We extend the measures of Government Decision 156 to the other UATs (territorial administrative units, no.) That have crossed the threshold of 3 per thousand, we are talking about the municipality of Câmpia Turzii, of several communes. We will also propose two zone quarantines in two communes where the incidence rate is higher, ”Mircea Abrudan told Digi24.
He specified that the county ranks first after Bucharest in terms of the number of evidence processed.
“Today we have 2,700 tests, yesterday there were 2,900, it is normal to find positive people the more we do the tests, this gives us a real image. We are analyzing the situation carefully and see to what extent we can intervene, “he said.
Abrudan says that one reason for the large number of cases is “excessive socialization.”
“We are talking about private events, visits to friends, relatives. From here on, family outbreaks appear. When we have a positive in a family, another 3-4 appear and then the number increases a lot,” he said.
Abrudan said county hospitals are facing the high number of cases, especially as legislation will be changed to allow asymptomatic patients to be treated at home.
