The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, was captured, together with former Prime Minister Mihai Tudose, at a large table, inside a restaurant in Sărata Monteoru, Buzău county, violating the rules on the maximum number of people and physical distance. The PSD leader said the deviation from the rules was short-lived, but a witness who was at the same restaurant Saturday night claims something else.

Social Democrats Marcel Ciolacu and Mihai Tudose spent Saturday night in a good mood, without physical distance and in violation of the rules. From the images that appeared in the press, it can be seen that a total of 11 people were at the table where the two politicians were sitting. By law, a maximum of six people is allowed at a table inside a restaurant, if they are not part of the same family.

Marcel Ciolacu reacted with a message on the Facebook page next to which he posted the image with members of the Government surprised by not respecting the restrictions, on the prime minister’s birthday. The president of the PSD said that on Saturday night he was with his family in a restaurant, and then other colleagues came. violating restrictions in just a few minutes. So this morning I sent the police all the data on those on the table. I will pay the fine. It is a rule that we all must follow, ”said the PSD leader.

“They drew the curtains, closed the door to the restaurant, turned off the light.”

However, a witness told Digi24 that things happened differently last night.

Initially, the meeting took place at one of the tables on the terrace. Mihai Tudose came in third or fourth and they stayed outside for a while and only after that did everyone enter. So when there were about 10 people outside, they moved in, they stayed at least an hour, while I was on the terrace. The person in charge of the place accompanied them, initially to the table outside and then entered with them. After realizing they had been photographed, they drew the curtains, closed the restaurant door, turned off the lights, and felt hostile.“Said the witness.

Marcel Ciolacu criticized the reaction of the Police, who clarified this case in a press release: “Orban and his people use the Romanian Police for political purposes. It is a pity! “Ciolacu said.

The amount of the 11 penalties for infraction applied by the police after the verifications amounts to 21,000 lei, announced the spokesman of the IGPR, Georgian Dragan.

“They were surprised how they are: that they ignore the health protection regulations. It was seen to follow the rules. They have behaved irresponsibly since the beginning of the pandemic, trivializing the risk of the epidemic, putting bats in the wheel of any type of regulation, leaving the authorities without levers to fight against the spread ”, Prime Minister Ludovic also reacted Orban.

Asked at a press conference if Marcel Ciolacu’s attitude will affect the party’s image, First Vice President Sorin Grindeanu did not want to answer. However, he stressed that financial penalties and public apologies are needed in such cases.

“Whoever breaks the law pays, no matter what his name is, if his name is Ciolacu or Grindeanu, he must pay.” If he is a public person, from my point of view, all the more he has to come with apologies in front of the Romanians ”, said the first vice president of PSD.

Five months ago, when a similar photo appeared in the press in which the prime minister and several ministers violated restrictions by participating in a meal at Victoria Palace on Ludovic Orban’s birthday, Marcel Ciolacu demanded the prime minister’s resignation.
