Marcel Ciolacu was caught violating the health protection regulations imposed during the pandemic. The leader of the PSD was photographed sitting at the table in a pension restaurant, without respecting the distance and in the presence of 10 people, although the maximum number of people is 6, according to the law. The photos were taken on Saturday night, around 10:30 p.m.
The police were notified of the incident and announced that they had applied sanctions to the pension administrator and that “controls will continue to establish exactly the activities at the location of the economic operator and the order of the necessary legal measures”:
“After some notifications, regarding possible violations of the sanitary regulations in force within a tourist unit of the municipality of Buzau, a police team went to the indicated place, to carry out controls in the sense of those notified and take legal measures in the situation to confirm the denounced When they arrived at the home, the Police verified that there were 3 people inside the premises and another 3 were outside the closed area.
It was discovered that some staff members did not exactly follow the individual protection measures. Thus, three sanctions were applied for contravention, according to Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, the police officers reworked the administrator of the tourist unit the legal provisions established by the alert state and the need to observe the measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Considering the images that appear in the public space, the police will continue the verifications in order to establish exactly the development of the activities in the location of the economic operator and the ordering of the legal measures that are required ”.
It is not the first time that the PSD leader violates the rules imposed to limit the spread of the coronavirus. In May he spoke from the Parliament rostrum without a mask, stating that he has “a deviation of the septum, detected after a medical examination carried out during fainting.”
