The Ministry of Health published the incidence list of COVID-19 cases for each locality in Romania. Based on this, it is established according to which of the 3 scenarios the schools will operate.
In scenario 1, or green scenario, all students go to school, respecting and applying all protection rules. For this scenario, the incidence must be less than one case per thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days.
Scenario 2, or yellow scenario, provides for the daily participation of all pre-school and primary, 8th and 12th grade students, with respect and application of all protection regulations, on the one hand, and partial return. (per rotation of 1 to 2 weeks) of students from other gym classes and high schools, in compliance and application of all protection rules. This scenario is for localities with an incidence of 1-3 / 1,000 inhabitants.
In Stage 3, or Red Stage, all students will take classes online. It will be used for localities with an incidence of more than 3 / 1,000 inhabitants.
Prior at September, 10th based on the situation provided by the DSP and in the office the local peculiarities, infrastructure and human resources of each schools, the board of directors of the educational unit will propose to the County / Bucharest School Inspectorate the request of one of the three scenarios.
„Each school unit will decide and tailor its scenario as directed by DSPs, county school inspections, and emergency committees. We support the need to start the activity in the educational units and, both the Ministry of Health, the public health departments and the INSP support the steps to start the new school year in conditions of epidemiological safety ”, said the Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru.
Most of the towns in Romania enter the green stage. However, there are also localities with outbreaks of COVID-19, which fall into the red stage.
CAccording to the list, Bucharest is in the yellow scenario, with an incidence of 1.12 cases per thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days.
Also on stage 2 are Alba Iulia, Bacău, Oradea, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Târgoviște, Giurgiu, Miercurea Ciuc, Iași, Piatra Neamț, Ploiești, Tulcea, Vaslui and Râmnicu Vâlcea. All other county-head municipalities are included in the green scenario.
The red scenario includes localities with a high incidence of COVID-19 cases. For example, the highest incidence occurs in the commune of Șiștarovăț, in Arad: 52.2 per thousand inhabitants. In the city of Făurei, Brăila county, the incidence is 11.12 per thousand inhabitants. In Bacău, the town of Ungureni has an incidence of 23.6 / 1,000.
