The PSD deputy, Alexandru Rafila, affirms that many doctors who live in hospitals and health units have not been included in the list of people who must be vaccinated during this period and asks the Minister of Health, Vlad Voiculescu, and the coordinator of the vaccination campaign, Valeriu Gheorghiță, to solve the problem.
“I am glad that the vaccination campaign against the SARS-CoV-2 virus has started and that medical personnel are in the first category chosen to benefit from immunization, in accordance with WHO recommendations.
However, many resident doctors who work in hospitals and health facilities were not included in the list of people who should be vaccinated during this period. Resident physicians are our colleagues and have been involved from the beginning in providing medical care to both Covid and non-Covid patients.
That is why they should be included without discrimination among the medical personnel to be vaccinated in the first stage. I make a public appeal to the Minister of Health, Vlad Voiculescu, and the coordinator of the vaccination campaign, Dr. Valeriu Gheorghiță, to take the necessary measures to solve this problem ”, shows a message published by the Romanian representative in the WHO, Alexandru Rafila.
The second tranche of vaccinations anti-COVID products produced by Pfizer and BioNTech, which means 140,400 doses, arrived in Romania on Tuesday.
