A man has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days for aggravated murder. He is suspected of beating his concubine, a 51-year-old woman, until he killed her, Mediafax reports.
Authorities say the woman was frequently attacked by her concubine. On each occasion, she refused medical help, but also filed a complaint with the police.
The same thing happened in the last incident, which took place over the weekend. On Saturday, an ambulance team responded to an emergency call and attempted to transport the woman with numerous bruises to hospital. She allegedly refused and stayed home with her concubine. The next day, the man called 112 again to ask for medical help for the woman. He stopped cardio-respiratory and could not save himself.
“She was well beaten, she had many signs of violence. She initially refused to be transferred to the hospital. The second time, the crew found her fallen in the bathtub, they tried to save her, they had nothing to do. The 51-year-old woman had been attacked by her concubine, she had a head injury, but also many other injuries and bruises. The man was very agitated, the crew also requested the support of the police ”, said to Mediafax, Mihai Polinschi, medical director of SAJ Galați.
The man was detained by the police and then arrested for 30 days on charges of aggravated murder. Court sources claim that the woman has repeatedly refused support from the authorities, including the issuance of a protection order.
