At the end of a visit to the Bucharest Public Health Directorate, the Prime Minister specified:

Family physicians can conduct epidemiological investigations
Thus, Orban specified that family doctors can monitor the health status of the respective patients, but they can also get involved in epidemiological investigations.
“Follow the state of health, see exactly the treatment, follow the evolution of each case. (…) I think that a family doctor could be competent to carry out epidemiological investigations, ”explained Ludovic Orban.
