“Ma’am, I want to get vaccinated with Pfizer, not Comirnaty.” CNCAV, explanations about the confusion between Pfizer / BioNTech and Comirnaty

“Ma’am, I don’t want Comirnaty. I want Pfizer. That’s how I programmed myself on the platform, at Pfizer.
– Okay, you’ll get Pfizer.
“But Comirnaty says on the bottle!”, is a common dialogue in the vaccination centers where the Pfizer vaccine is administered, and on Saturday it was presented by representatives of the National Campaign for Vaccine Coordination (CNCAV) on the Facebook page.

CNCAV explains where the confusion between Pfizer, BioNTech and Comirnaty comes from.

“From the dose container. The first doses came with the PfizerBioNTech label, then some doses came with a label that says only BioNTech, and now the doses are Comirnaty labels.
