Things seem to have worked out for the Uruguayan footballer. Mundo Deportivo announced that Luis Suárez has agreed with Atlético de Madrid all the details of his move under Diego Simeone. It seems that the transaction will take place as soon as Diego Costa, forward of “Atleti”, leaves the “rojiblanco” team.
The Spanish international is in discussion with Fenerbahce, but also rival Besiktas would be interested in his services. To hire Suárez, Madrid residents have to get rid of Diego Costa’s salary, which amounts to about eight million euros a year.
Atlético de Madrid have offered Luis Suárez a two-season contract
Suárez was offered a two-year contract at Atlético, which is excellent from his point of view, because he will soon be 34 years old. Another factor that made him choose Madrid was that both Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, Atlético’s CEO, and Diego Simeone, Madrid’s coach, were in constant contact with the Uruguayan player.
It is up to the two clubs to agree on the amount of the transfer, given that Barcelona is not willing to let Suárez go for free.
