Prime Minister Ludovic Orban claims that the State Budget Law for 2021 will be adopted by the new Parliament, elected on December 6. However, when the new Parliament is constituted, the process is long and the Budget Law can hardly be approved, but Orban’s maneuver is strategic, because he hopes that the liberals will draw a new majority in the future Parliament.

“We are drawing up the budget. Of course, I would prefer that the budget be voted on by the elected Parliament on December 6, because it will reflect the current and renewed will of the Romanians.

It will be a faithful mirror, the Parliament elected on December 6, of the Romanians’ political choices, ”said Ludovic Orban.

The Prime Minister says that, if mobilized, the future Parliament can debate and approve the budget before the end of the year, so that Romania does not have to enter next year without a budget.
