Ludovic Orban has a first reaction to the proposal made on Tuesday by Dan Barna. The leader of USR PLUS demanded that the three party presidents form part of the Government, as deputy prime ministers. Orban criticizes Barna’s public appearance, saying that “our common understanding was to avoid individual position communications.”
“During the first two days of negotiations we had with the leaders of USR-PLUS and UDMR, we agreed to communicate only together and only those things on which we reached an agreement.
Given that our common understanding was to avoid individual communications of positions that were not the object of consensus among the leaders of the three parties, they remain consistent with the agreement reached with the other interlocutors.
I believe that any proposal or possible solution aimed at strengthening the formation of the future coalition should be brought to the table and I encourage all partners to stay in line with the initial agreement, “Ludovic Orban said in a press release.
The UDMR also criticized Dan Barna’s announcement, made without prior consultation with the leaders of the potential coalition.
The leaders of PNL, USR and UDMR have a meeting scheduled around 2:00 pm, in which the unblocking of negotiations to form a government coalition will be discussed.
Ludovic Orban, Dan Barna and Kelemen Hunor started a first discussion after the consultations in Cotroceni and after the announcement made on Tuesday by Dan Barna.
