The Germans arrived in Romania last night and chose the same accommodation that Chelsea uses in the capital, the 5-star Marriott hotel.
Germany had reserved the entire sixth floor. Neuer, Gnabry, Werner, Sane, and the rest of Low’s national stars had rooms with views of the Palace of Parliament and the new National Cathedral.
To avoid any possible source of Sars-Cov2 infection, the Germans chose not to leave the hotel at any time. The match day training took place in the gym, not on a field as usual.
German footballers and staff members benefited from a lift that only they used and wore disposable gloves, even when eating! The morning group walk was not carried out either.
Low’s stars eat at two thirty. Each player sat at their own table. At half past six the coach held the last meeting prior to the game, then at eight, the team left for the National Stadium.
