Journalist Carlo Laudisa notes that the 47-year-old Italian coach is working on the details to take over from reigning Romanian champion Dan Petrescu. At the same time, the cited source indicates that the future CFR technician will be chosen between Pecchia and Edward Iordănescu.

Fabio Pecchia is a former Italian international and started training in 2011 when he took over the modest Italian team, Gubbio. In the 2012-2013 season he was the head coach of the Latina team, after which he made a move very inspired by his career. Pecchia became part of the Rafa Benítez squad, with whom he worked in Naples, Real Madrid and Newcastle. In 2015-2016, Pecchia was Rafa Benítez’s second at the Santiago Bernabeu and worked with great footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric. Starting in 2016, he chose to go solo and took over the Hellas Verona team, where he lasted two seasons.
In 2019 he found him on the technical bench of Avispa Fukuoka’s Japanese, and that same year he signed for Juventus, where he took charge of the Piedmontese club’s U23 team. As a player, Pecchia is the Italian champion with Juventus Torino and a former European youth champion with the Italian national team.
