Arafat added that he still cannot say which locality he is referring to because then many inhabitants will go to relatives from nearby towns and then the quarantine measure would not reach its objective. It would be the second town to be quarantined this week.
The Cuca commune (Galați county) has been under quarantine since Thursday morning, after the COVID-19 infection rate reached 4.74 cases per thousand inhabitants. The quarantine measure is valid for a period of 14 days, starting on October 8 at 5:00 a.m.
During the quarantine period, in the area and in the respective area the entry and, respectively, the exit of means of transport destined to the transport of passengers or goods, without stopping, that are transferred to other locations other than quarantine is allowed .
Likewise, the transport of goods, raw materials or food for the population is carried out based on supporting documents, which indicate the purpose and destination of the transport.
Volunteers will provide food, medicine and basic needs, based on a certificate issued by the Cuca City Council. The list of volunteers will have a maximum number of 15 people and will be drawn up by the Cuca City Council, its composition remaining invariable throughout the institution of the measure and endorsed by the Galati Regional Center for the Coordination and Management of Intervention.
At the same time, people who carry out agricultural activities will complete a declaration at their own risk.
The Galaţi authorities also established that “from or in the quarantine zone the exit and, respectively, the entrance of people living in the quarantine zone, but who carry out economic activities or in the field of defense, the order public, national security, sanitary, sanitary-veterinary, emergencies, local public administration, assistance and social protection, judiciary, public services, energy, agriculture, public catering, water supply, communications, transport and religious activities, only for situations exceptional events related to the maintenance of public or operational services “. All persons leaving the quarantined area will present the service card or employee certificate issued by the employer, stamped and signed by him or, where appropriate, the declaration under his responsibility.
At the same time, the authorities report that the entry and exit of people and vehicles in or from the quarantined locality will be carried out only through filters established by the forces of order within the Ministry of the Interior, and the movement of people and vehicles between 22.00-6.00 is prohibited.
Likewise, it is strictly forbidden to transfer people in isolation or quarantine out of their domicile, residence or declared domicile for isolation or quarantine in the commune of Cuca.
