President Klaus Iohannis will hold a press conference on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Cotroceni Palace. The press conference takes place on the day that Romania records a new negative record for coronavirus infections.
In the last 24 hours, 2,158 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, the highest number of coronavirus infections since the start of the pandemic.
The president is also expected to address the issue of local elections, as well as his talks with Justice Minister and Prime Minister Orban on justice laws on Wednesday.
Klaus Iohannis leaves tomorrow for Brussels, where he will attend the European Council meeting.
President Klaus Iohannis will attend the European Council meeting in Brussels on Thursday and Friday, which includes topics such as the European Union Single Market, industrial policy and the Union’s digital policy, the Presidential Administration announced.
European leaders will also address foreign policy issues, primarily the Union’s relations with China and Turkey.
