President Klaus Iohannis will offer a press conference, starting at 6:00 p.m., in the Cotroceni Palace, announces the Presidential Administration. It’s the president’s second conference in three days.
The president made remarks in the context of a troubling new assessment of coronavirus infections. In the last 24 hours, there have been 4,848 COVID cases in Romania, a new record since the start of the pandemic.
The last press conference offered by Klaus Iohannis was on Tuesday, after participating in the Virtual Summit and the Web Forum of the Three Seas Initiative.
“To stop the COVID-19 epidemic, a national effort is needed. Citizens are the partners of the authorities and the authorities have an obligation to respect and treat them as such. This means, among other things, clear and uniform communication of decisions, timely information and predictability when restrictions are needed that affect the lives of citizens, ”said the president.
