The 29-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder has signed a two-year contract with Everton, with an option to extend for one more year.
James Rodríguez, sold by Real Madrid to Everton
According to the BBC, Everton paid 22,000,000 euros to Real Madrid for James Rodríguez, a footballer who arrived in the Spanish capital in 2014 from Monaco, in exchange for more than 70,000,000 euros.
James Rodríguez will collaborate for the third time in his career with the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, current Everton coach, who also coached him at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
“I am convinced that together with Carlo Ancelotti and his team I will succeed in important things here. One of the main reasons I chose to come to Everton was Carlo Ancelotti.”, Said James Rodríguez, in the official presentation.
James Rodríguez is the second major player on loan from Everton this summer, after Allan, a Brazilian midfielder, brought in from Naples for 25,000,000 euros.
