President Klaus Iohannis spoke about the Oradea sports teacher who urged children not to wear masks. It is a “reprehensible” case that cannot be tolerated, says the head of state.
“It is a singular case, a reprehensible case. I don’t think we can tolerate such a thing and I am convinced that the County School Inspectorate and school administrators will take action, “Klaus Iohannis said at a press conference.
“It’s pathetic,” he added.
Nelu Sandu Pop, a sports teacher from Oradea, put on a parody in the classroom, which also involved the students. Both he and the children wore comic book masks. The images show how the teacher encourages students not to follow the rules of protection, which he considers abusive. He is not shy about calling children “animals in the pen.”
The teacher was fined 2,500 lei by Bihor police after the Bihor County School Inspectorate filed a criminal complaint for thwarting the fight against diseases.
