The president of the PSD and the leader of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, declared that he is considering presenting a bill in Parliament to postpone the general elections, scheduled for December 6.
“It is possible, yes, to present a bill to postpone the parliamentary elections,” Marcel Ciolacu told Antena3.
He said he was not at all interested in the opinion of President Klaus Iohannis, who said he does not see “the need to postpone the parliamentary elections.”
“We are not interested, at this time, in whether President Iohannis wants elections or not. We are on the right track. (…) I am interested in whether the PSD’s approach after the presidential elections (since 2019 – n.red) was correct, if the Romanians now trust the PSD and the PSD messages. And the results of the local elections show us that the perception has changed, that’s why we won the councils and most of the municipalities. If Iohannis believes that his purpose in this Romanian land is to analyze the NLP score, it is his job, but he has forgotten his constitutional shelter for almost a year ”, said Marcel Ciolacu.
