Alexandru Rafila, PSD’s nominee for prime minister, wrote in a note, during a debate during the electoral campaign organized by Digi24, that he sees an alliance between PSD and USR PLUS possible within a year. Vasile Dîncu, president of the PSD National Council, says that it is possible that Alexandru Rafila thought of an erosion of the PNL. On the other hand, Vasile Dîncu, former deputy prime minister of the Cioloș government, acknowledges that a connection is established between the relationship that he himself had, within this government, with some members of the current USR PLUS.
When asked if PSD has this collaboration with USR PLUS in its long-term plans, the president of the PSD National Council, Vasile Dîncu made some clarifications, Sunday night, on Digi24: “I also saw the debate, it was a Interesting debate, it had become dynamic even then. In such situations, it is very important to attract attention, to be a contrasting stereotype and perhaps that’s where this idea came from. Or was it a simple calculation made by our proposed prime minister: that the NLP will lose so much lately that the only two parties that remain viable in the public space in a year will be PSD and USR PLUS ”, a Vasile Dîncu commented that Alexandru Rafila wrote in a note that sees an alliance with USR-PLUS in one year.
“We don’t have any plans at the moment, even if it has been rumored several times that my connections in the Cioloș government with these USR PLUS folks could produce something. We don’t have any calculations and I believe that we are incompatible, precisely because of our ideologies, if many people say that they are neo-Marxists and we are more centralist Marxists, ”said Vasile Dîncu.
In turn, Alexandru Rafila, asked on Digi24, the day after the elections, about a government together with USR PLUS, said that it is “a delicate discussion.”
“You know very well that PNL and USR said that they will not form an alliance with PSD. It remains to be seen if it is confirmed. And on the other hand, we will see what will happen in a few months or a year, because I firmly believe that what PSD can contribute in terms of experience and seriousness can contribute to managing the economic and social and medical crisis in the country ”, Alexandru Rafila underlined.
Regarding what he wrote in the Digi24 debate, an alliance with USR-PLUS in a year, he explained: being invited to a coalition that can manage health, social and economic issues. If we are all responsible, if we are not angry and if we think that our place in Parliament is due to the voters, then this should happen in an EU country, in a crisis situation. Time will tell if we get it right or not, it is important to control the public health crisis and reactivate the economy, so that people can lead a life as normal as possible. “
