Apple has presented its new series of smartphones, which is more numerous than ever. The new iPhone 12 uses straight lines for the edges of the device.
The iPhone 12 is, according to Apple, 11% thinner, 15% smaller and 16% lighter than the previous generation.
The new generation chipset is called A14 Bionic. Based on a 5nm process, it uses 6 cores: 2 high-performance and 4 efficient.
Apple has a new wireless charger called MagSafe, which uses magnets to align the phone for efficient charging. Its charging speed is 15W.
There is also IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
The iPhone 12 series consists of the following models: iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The four are differentiated by the size of the screen, the performance of the chipset and the camera, the existence or lack of certain facilities as well as the price.
How much will the new iPhone 12 cost?
iPhone 12 (from $ 799) and iPhone 12 mini (from $ 699)
The iPhone 12 mini has the smallest 5.4-inch OLED display in the series and will be available with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of storage.
The screen of the iPhone 12 is the average size of the series: 6.1 inches, just like the iPhone 11. It will have the same storage options as the iPhone 12 mini.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini camera consists of two cameras: 12MP Ultrawide with f / 2.4 and 12 Wide with f / 1.6. Apple promises superior quality for photos taken in low light conditions.
iPhone 12 Pro (from $ 999) and iPhone 12 Pro Max (from $ 1,099)
The Pro variant has the same 6.1-inch screen as the iPhone 12, but storage space starts at a higher threshold, at 128GB, continuing at 256GB and 512GB.
The camera here has a camera in addition to the iPhone 12: a 12MP telephoto lens with f / 2.0 and 4X optical zoom.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max also has the largest 6.7-inch screen and offers the same storage options as the Pro version.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max uses LiDar technology, which measures distances and detects objects by measuring the reflection of a laser beam, and is capable of 5X optical zoom.
None of the new models in the series will come with a charger or headphones, which will need to be purchased separately.
