Disaster for PSD in the place where they probably have the most followers. The Craiova Christmas fair opened on Saturday, but it didn’t last long. Authorities acted promptly and closed it after an hour. The actions come after a few days in which President Iohannis and the Mayor of Craiova, Olguța Vasilescu, contracted remotely on the theme of the Christmas Fair.
The Craiova Christmas fair turned out to be a failure since its opening. The mayor’s office really wanted to hold this fair, only that the DSV closed all the houses one hour after the opening of the fair, claiming that the local administration would not have an operating permit.
DSV acted promptly
In fact, less than an hour after the opening of the Christmas Fair, the producers and traders, who were supposed to sell their products at the fair, were closed one by one by DSV Dolj.
The merchants say they didn’t even open the stalls properly because they were taken away by the police, ITM Dolj inspectors and DSV Dolj employees.
The latter also told them to close the shutter, because the city hall is not in order with the authorization to operate the fair. Therefore, all the houses in Buzești Square and Mihai Viteazu Square are currently closed.
Producers were harmed
“We are producers. I come from Olt. We paid, we rented a house and today, at the opening of the fair, we began to expose our products for sale. It was not long before the economic police, the ITM and the DSV Dolj started to arrive.
The latter told us to pack our bags and close because the town hall does not have an operating permit. We are fine with all the documents, the problems belong to the City Council. I don’t understand what our fault is, we are caught in the middle. I understand that the entire fair is closed. We pay the rent and we are in such a situation. I understood from the mayor’s office that they delivered all the documents, but DSV did not give them the go-ahead, ”said Stela Florescu, a producer who was at the Christmas fair.
The City Council does not know anything about controls
Representatives of the Craiova City Council were unable to provide further details regarding the DSV controls, although the Christmas fair was organized by the municipality.
“I heard that there were some checks, but I don’t know more. It is possible to have checks in merchants, but they are also individual from various institutions. The mayor’s office did not receive any notification about it. We took care of turning on the lights,” said Marina Andronache, Head of the Image Service of the City of Craiova, writes Digi24.
