Prime Minister Ludovic Orban has resigned as Prime Minister. The PNL leader affirmed that the next negotiations should lead to a center-right government. Orban expressed his conviction that in future negotiations the NLP will be able to hand over the prime minister and constitute the backbone of the future Executive. The resigning prime minister has just one more goal: to build a parliamentary majority that does not include PSD.
“On December 6, Romanian citizens cast their vote in the elections. Today I made the decision to run for Prime Minister. The decision I made has a very precise purpose. Once the will of the citizens has been expressed, negotiations must begin to the formation of a new government. Romania needs a responsible government that represents the will of Romanian citizens who want to modernize and develop Romania. My decision shows that I am not holding on to the post of prime minister, “Orban said.
