The head of DSU, Raed Arafat, recommends people visiting on vacation to wear a protective mask and ventilate rooms well, to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
“We do not have to wait for new recommendations. So masking, moving away and, especially during vacations, holidays with a reduced family, remain the recommendations with which we insist to stop a possible spread of this strain in a more serious way in the country. “Said Arafat, referring to the new strain of coronavirus detected in the UK.
“Open the windows” is his recommendation for those who receive visitors.
“It will be cold, of course, but to open the windows, to ventilate. If people come from another house, with whom you do not usually stay, except to eat – and where you still have to keep your distance – with a mask, “he added.
“Some may say that we are exaggerating with these recommendations, but there are recommendations that have also been mentioned by the WHO. That is, if you are with a person with whom you are not going to stay, most of the time you must have a mask, except when you’re eating and there must be very good ventilation in the room, ”he continued.
“But the recommendation remains that there should be no such gatherings, because such gatherings can also expose the elderly, they can expose close people and they can take some of these people to hospitals and maybe even in very serious conditions,” he said. Arafat said.
“Let’s not get infected with the virus. We have to understand this situation, we have no other way to control it than through distance measures, contact limitation, mobility limitation and use of a mask,” according to Arafat.
