Increasing coronavirus infections. Romania has exceeded 90,000 cases of COVID-19

In the last 24 hours, 1,365 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 23,973 tests performed. Another 44 people died from coronavirus infections, while 503 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 3, in Romania, 91,256 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

39,275 patients were declared cured and 11,619 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 1,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 751 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 3,765 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 02.09.2020 (10:00) – 03.09.2020 (10:00) there were 44 deaths (27 men and 17 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Buzău , Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 8 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 11 deaths in the category over 80 years.

43 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,288. Of these, 503 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 1,876,063 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 23,973 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14,760 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 9,213 on request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 2 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until September 3 were reported.

In Romania, 9,655 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,988 people are institutionalized. Additionally, 34,217 people are in home quarantine and 45 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,026 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 481 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 709 penalties for minor offenses, worth 156,701 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,595 Romanian citizens were infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,903 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 158 in Great Britain. , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
