In Lungulețu, potatoes are sold at 35 bani / kg. Ionel Petre: Somebody wants them POOR

Potatoes at the grower are incredibly low in price. It happens right in the town of Lungulețu, known for its potato and cabbage crops. The final price, for the buyer, ends up being 10 times higher. How and why Romanian farmers are humiliated, ALDE Dâmbovița leader Ionel Petre explained to DCNews.

Ionel Petre said in the DCNews program: “Imagine that at this moment, in Lungulețu, potatoes are sold at 35 bani per kilogram, in order to be able to sell larger quantities.”

ALDE leader Dâmbovița revealed that people prefer to turn the furrow, that is, not harvest, because it is cheaper to turn the furrow than to harvest, select and bag to go with them on the plateau. “0.35 lei / kg is a major problem,” stressed Ionel Petre.

Who sets the price? Direct trading on the Lungulețu plateau, where the buyers are the hypermarket and those who bring production to the markets of Bucharest. “They can be associated, only someone does not want them associated,” accuses Ionel Petre, who adds: “It seems that someone wants them poor.”
