Prime Minister Ludovic Orban assures that spontaneous parties organized by those who won the local elections are one of the causes of the increase in the number of infections due to the new coronavirus.
“It can be seen that the increase in the number of cases started with the tenth day after victory day. Think that in 3,300 localities -something that I pointed out at the time and asked all those who participated in the parties to isolate themselves and try to test themselves, even on request- in 3,300 locations, after the elections, the winners held spontaneous parties, to those attended by dozens and hundreds of people and in which they sang, chanted, some did not wear enough masks and it is normal for there to be an outbreak of infection there, “the prime minister told B1 TV on Sunday, according to Agerpres.
Ludovic Orban mentioned that the main source of illness is, however, private parties in which the organizers and participants of the event did not comply with the health and distance rules.
“This increase in the number of cases was naturally due to the fact that we made decisions to lift the restrictions and resume some activities. In the analysis we carried out, as a cause of illness, the first place was private events, so with the Government decision to extend the alert we decided not to allow the organization of private events such as weddings, baptisms, festive meals and other categories of events, “added the prime minister.
However, Orban pointed out that this increase in the number of cases affects not only Romania, but the entire European Union, with the contagion status in some countries being even higher than in our country.
