At the end of the Government meeting, the Minister of European Funds, Marcel Boloş, announced measures to support the students.

Thus, on Wednesday, the Executive approved the measure related to the distribution of education vouchers, in an extracurricular regime, for an amount of 200 lei / month.

Marcel Boloş specified that the vouchers for extracurricular activities were started and approved in the form of law and currently have, after the approval of the measure, a value of 200 lei per month.

About 300,000 children would enter this pilot program, which will be developed in the next period, after the launch of the call.

However, the beneficiaries are only students in grades 1-4.

The pilot project includes 150 schools, established by Order of the Ministry of Education and Research, and the types of activities will be defined by the applicant’s guide, once it is launched for public debate.

The announcement made by Marcel Boloş comes with the statement about retirees.

Retiree money, even before the election

Hundreds of thousands of retirees will receive huge government aid in the first week of December before the parliamentary elections on December 6.

On Wednesday, the executive approved the measure regarding the distribution of hot food vouchers for the elderly, in the amount of 180 lei / month / ticket.

These vouchers will benefit some 300,000 seniors, over 75 years of age and with incomes at the level of the minimum social pension.

Marcel Boloş specified that the hot meal vouchers will be distributed in the first week of December and will be delivered retroactively, respectively, for September, October, November and December.

Money from EU funds. “If we don’t give them, we lose them”

Asked how he explains that these vouchers will be delivered a week before the elections, the minister replied that the public procurement procedure is being finalized and that the contract will be signed next week.

Marcel Boloş claims that card issuers need 10 days, according to the contract, to issue these cards, which are then distributed to the prefectures and from the prefectures reach the local public authorities, who send them to the final beneficiaries.

“It is calculated in days. For us it is important that the operational support program for disadvantaged people does not disburse the money, the money reaches the beneficiaries. They are people who are of a certain age and expect this help from us. I did the calculations together with my colleagues and this scheme for 300,000 beneficiaries to issue cards and distribute them is not very simple. “, Boloş noted, quoted by Agerpres.
