Police in the capital searched the home of a man accused of assaulting and robbing several women this year. The accused was arrested and the court later ordered his preventive detention.
“Yesterday, 12.04.2020, police officers from the Bucharest Police General Directorate – Police Section 24, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to District Court 5, executed a house search warrant, in a case related to the commission of crimes of robbery, robbery and beatings or other violence, ”reports the Capital Police, through a statement.
Based on some information, the police reported ex officio that several women, during seven months of this year, were attacked or assaulted by a man, who, taking advantage of their situation, would have stolen, through violence, several sums of money.
On the morning of December 4, a house search warrant was issued against the man in question, and the man was found and brought in for questioning.
Based on the evidence provided, it was reasonably assumed that between February and September 2020, the 41-year-old man, by violence, deprived three people of various amounts of money, one of whom was a victim on three occasions. It also resulted in the fact that in the context of a conflict, the same man allegedly beat a woman, without stripping her of any property, ”the statement also shows.
The man was arrested and the court later ordered his preventive detention.
Investigations are continued by Police Station 24, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to District Court 5, regarding the commission of crimes of beatings or other violence, robbery, theft and theft in the form of three material acts, with the man arrested.
