Larisa Iordache, tested positive for COVID-19

“Gymnastics taught me to be… a positive person! I was waiting for a positive test at the Izvorani control where I had to compete for the first time in 3 years! Ready, with ambition and a lot of determination with my coaches. I was ready to get up, to fight for my dream! I will now … after a positive test for COVID -19.

I isolated myself at home for two weeks, to stay healthy and return to normal parameters, so that I could resume my training calmly. I feel good, I have a general condition without serious symptoms, I feel only a small cold that I will treat as my doctor recommended.

I’m very sorry about this news … I was in shape, ready to show everything that I have been working on these last months.

My life is a little upset. But a gymnast can turn her head and land on her feet, right?

Larisa Iordache announced her return, after a 3-year hiatus

Larisa Iordache, multiple European champion and world runner-up, had announced her return after a three-year hiatus and will participate in the National Championships to be held in Ploieşti from 17 to 19 November.

Larisa suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon at the 2017 Gymnastics World Championships in Montreal, and had to undergo surgery three times.
