On Tuesday, PSD president Marcel Ciolacu was asked about a possible co-optation of independent senator Diana Șoșoacă in the PSD. Ciolacu said there was no such discussion, but that he did not see “landslides” from Diana Șoșoacă.
“I do not think that Mrs. Șoșoacă can ruin the relations of the PSD with the socialist international. I did not see her slip. She is a defender of civil rights, but there was no such discussion. I cannot predict. She did not express her intention either,” he said. Marcel Ciolacu, in an interview with DC News.
Diana Șoșoacă is an independent senator after being expelled from the AUR group.
“He systematically refused to act, both in parliament and in public, in accordance with the strategy of the senatorial group AUR, as well as with the decisions of the party leadership.
