The Minister of the Interior, Marcel Vela, confirmed that in the deposit with ballots from Sector 1 were the president of the Electoral Table of the Circumscription Sector 1, a member of the BES 1 delegated by PPU-SL, the president of the tables 141 and 3 party watcher candidates. He wanted to clarify that the Ministry of the Interior does not have participation in the process of naming the members of the electoral offices. The minister also said that 23 people from the parties that signed the minutes will be heard.
“I confirm that after the analysis and investigation, those present at the polls are the president of the Electoral Table of the S1 district, a member of BES 1, delegated by PPU-SL, the one who deposits a bag, the president of the table 141 from S1, the one who is seen collecting a bag and 3 observers from the candidate party, who supervise the process with the approval of the president of BES 1.
As I saw a constant attack on the Ministry of the Interior, as minister I communicate the following:
Law 115/2015 for the election of the authorities of the local public administration establishes very clearly in the content of article 26 the form of constituting the electoral offices of constituency of the sectors of the municipality of Bucharest. Thus, the BE constituency is made up of a president, a deputy and 9 representatives of the parties participating in the elections in that constituency.
The president of the Court of First Instance and his alternate shall be appointed in a public hearing by the president of the General Court, by lot, among the magistrates and other lawyers who meet the conditions provided for in the law and who are not members of any political party. The representatives of the political parties will be appointed from among the parties communicated by the political parties in the order indicated in the respective communication.
The Government and the Ministry of the Interior have no responsibility in this regard. The Ministry of the Interior only provides protection measures for polling stations and the transportation of electoral material to prefectures, warehouses and polling stations, in accordance with the law, which we did without incident.
The first event was registered in the Ministry of the Interior, from a notification to 112.
The minister also said that the Ministry of the Interior does not intervene in the controls carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of First Instance.
“Of the 473 minutes, 7 are analyzed and 23 people who signed the respective 7 minutes, from all parties, will be heard, considering that these minutes can be analyzed in terms of the veracity of their completion.
As a result of the images published last night in the media, we have been notified today that, as has been verified as a result of the statements made by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of First Instance, investigations are being carried out.
MAI does not intervene in this verification but I am convinced that it will reflect reality ”, said Marcel Vela.
