The president of the PNL, Ludovic Orban, declared that the reproaches directed at the liberals about the context of the appointment of Florin Iordache to the leadership of the Legislative Council are not justified, sending them to the representatives of the USR to focus “on the battle with the PSD “.
“It consumes too much energy, our opponent is the PSD, with all the evils it brings to Romania. Our goal is to win the elections, win the PSD and get it off the buttons. (…) I think we have shown that we can collaborate, we win together the elections in Bucharest, we won together, for example in Vrancea (…) I advise my younger colleagues to consume less energy to invent conflicts with NLP, to focus on the battle with PSD, “Orban said.
In the opinion of the liberal leader, there is no “scandal” between PNL and USR, the real problem being the promotion of Florin Iordache to this position by the PSD, according to Agerpres.
“There is no scandal, both we and the USR attack the election of Florin Iordache. The scandal itself is that a majority controlled by the PSD and its allies could make such an inept decision to put such a person at the head of the Legislative Council. “This is the worst that has happened in Parliament. Otherwise, I do not want to respond to comments that seem out of place,” added Ludovic Orban.
