The entry of foreign citizens into the territory of Ukraine will be prohibited from midnight from Friday to Saturday, except for some categories of people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that on August 27 the Ukrainian authorities changed the conditions of entry to this country for foreigners, and the new regulations will take effect on August 29.
“Thus, according to the information publicly communicated by the Ukrainian authorities, from August 29 at 00:00 to September 28, 2020, the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons into the territory of Ukraine is prohibited, except in the following categories : first-degree relatives of Ukrainian citizens; people with a work permit in Ukraine; specialists who come to Ukraine at the invitation of representatives of Ukrainian companies; persons in transit who possess documents confirming their departure from Ukraine within a maximum period of 2 days from their entry into its territory; persons who have the right of permanent or temporary residence in Ukraine, confirmed by supporting documents; people who come to studies; people arriving in Ukraine for medical treatment; drivers of goods vehicles, crews of airplanes, maritime and river vessels and crews of trains; cultural personalities who arrive at the invitation of cultural institutions; people who participate in sports competitions; people carrying STEM cells for transplantation; members of official delegations of foreign states, employees of international organizations, as well as accompanying persons, who arrive at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, the Parliament, the Government, the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, Shows the Ministry of Foreign Relations.

The following categories of people will also have access to the territory of Ukraine (without having to have a COVID-19 insurance policy): refugees or people in need of international protection; the personnel of the diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign States, the representations of international organizations accredited in Ukraine, as well as their relatives or persons who arrive in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; military instructors from NATO member states and states participating in the “Partnership for Peace” program or persons arriving in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense.
