Huawei is doing it again. The Chinese manufacturer is again in the limelight to take photos taken with a DSLR, which it says are “Made with Huawei smartphones”.
The company recently launched a photo contest on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Here he published a video with a series of incredible photos, some of which were taken with DSLR, not with his terminals. The video shows some images taken with Huawei phones. However, one of these images was taken with a $ 3,000 Nikon D850 DSLR, and this was tested by an internet user.
The misleading photo was discovered by Weibo user Jamie-hua. When he saw the video, he realized that it was not the first time he had seen the image online. After some digging, he found one of the photos on the 500px platform. The image source clearly indicates that the image was photographed with the Nikon camera, and its EXIF data demonstrates the same.

Huawei apologized for the error. The company said that an editor “Misspelled” photos of the correct promotional video “Taken by Huawei Phones”. The manufacturer also thanked the Weibo user for pointing out the discrepancy.
