The leaders of the parliamentary parties reached an agreement on Monday on the division of commissions in parliament. After the PSD threatened to block the meeting of the new Parliament, the Social Democrats received the leadership of several important committees, so that the parliamentarians of the party participate in the meetings and not block the constitution of the new Parliament.
Among the commissions that PSD receives are the transportation commission, the economic commission or the agriculture commission. In the Senate, the PSD will have a committee on foreign policy, health, or European affairs.
In total, PSD obtained the leadership of 8 commissions in the Chamber of Deputies and 8 in the Senate, PNL has 5 commissions in the Chamber of Deputies and 6 in the Senate, USR PLUS will lead 4 commissions in the Chamber of Deputies and 4 in the Senate, AUR, two commissions in each chamber, UDMR has a total of 3 commissions, and minorities have received the human rights commission.
