The incidence of COVID-19 cases per thousand inhabitants reached 9.04 on Monday. Cluj County Prefect Mircea Adrudean says there are several reasons why the quarantine establishment in the municipality is not taken into account, one of them being the low mortality rate.

In Cluj-Napoca, according to data announced this Monday by the Cluj prefecture, the incidence rate of Covid-19 cases reached 9.04 per thousand inhabitants.

However, the authorities claim that the quarantine establishment in the city is not yet taken into account.

Cluj County Prefect Mircea Abrudean states that there are several reasons behind this decision: the conditions for the DSP risk analysis are not met, the large number of tests leading to a large number of cases, the rate of lowest Covid mortality in the country, the increased capacity of Covid beds and the fact that the incidence rate is calculated in the stable population of the city, and many of the positive cases are in those who do not have legal form of residence in Cluj-Napoca, writes Mediafax.

The prefect announced that another 27 ATI beds for Covid patients are being put into operation, so that by the end of the week, 96 seats will most likely be available.

According to the Cluj prefecture, in the last 24 hours, 105 people in the county were confirmed as Covid-19, after 238 tests.
