French counterterrorism authorities were urgently called on Friday night, October 16, to investigate the beheading of a person on the outskirts of Paris, Conflans Sainte-Honorine.

UPDATE 21.00 According to the French press, the victim of the terrorist attack on the night of Friday October 16 is a history teacher who showed the students a drawing with the Prophet Muhammad during the lesson on freedom of expression.

The murder took place around 6 a.m. Romanian time in Eragny (Val d’Oise). A team of police officers from the Conflans Sainte-Honorine special forces identified the man armed with a knife on the street. He refused to deliver the stabbing, which is why the police shot him dead. Next to him, the body of a decapitated man was discovered, reports Le Figaro.
