Amazing. The works of a section of the road that would have crossed Carpathians they were stopped by two locals Tălmaciu that they were not compensated for the land on which the road was built and that passed through their yard.
Premiere in Romania after 30 years
This should have happened, being a road that crosses the Carpathians. This year the construction of a motorway began in the Piteşti-Sibiu sector. Sector 1, between Sibiu and Boiţa, is only 13 kilometers long. The builder took the equipment away in the spring, but unfortunately the works stopped.
Who stopped work
Once the works began, the specialists found that the road would have crossed the courtyard of two residents of Tălmaciu. The road passes through the patio of the two, on a 3,660-square-meter plot, which must now be expropriated. But this implies a loss of time and a delay in the completion of the works.
As the two villagers were not expropriated, they obtained the cessation of works on section 1, which started from Sibiu and would have been completed after 13 kilometers, near the town of Boiţa. These problems arose 6 months after the start of the work that was being done correctly.
What will happen next with the construction of the road?
CPorr Construct SA, the company that works in that part, announced that there are constructions in the expropriation corridor that are not on the expropriation list for this project. Because of this, the works cannot continue, say the representatives of arenaconstruct.ro.
The decision must be made by the Government. It must adopt a new decision for the expropriation of the two neighbors of Tălmaciu. The amount they will receive is 12,330 lei. Section 1, Sibiu Boita, of the Sibiu-Piteşti highway will cost the state budget 612,647,863 lei, excluding VAT, according to antena3.ro.
