President Klaus Iohannis was asked on Wednesday what he thinks about GOLD’s entry into Parliament.
Klaus Iohannis has just said: “It is a party that really does not know what it wants and what it does in politics.”
On the fact that it has been ten days since the elections, Iohannis said: “Let me give you some examples without naming the countries, but you can easily search the data on the internet. Negotiations for a government in an EU country were recently completed two and a half years after the elections. The government was formed in another European country some time ago after eight months of negotiations. Then you realize that we are very far from that long calendar. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to get into that, but we have to have a little patience to see how the parties negotiate. It is possible that they will agree in the center-right coalition and make a proposal, that is what I am waiting for as president, that a majority is formed and that I propose a name ”.
Klaus Iohannis added that if PNL, USR PLUS and UDMR agree and present a proposal, they will accept it: “which is Orban, I accept it, which is Cîțu, I accept it. I don’t know who they are negotiating with there, but they will come to propose something ”.
