Klaus Iohannis had a new reaction after the fire at the Neamț County Hospital. The president made statements at the exit of the church, where he prayed for the victims. Asked if such a tragedy could be repeated in other parts of the country, Ioahannis said it was important for specialists to quickly find out what were the causes of the fire in the ATI sections.
“It is a great tragedy what happened at Neamț Hospital. I just came from church, where we all prayed for the victims of the fire. What can I say? Condolences to the grieving families and those who survived a speedy recovery! It is very important now to find out very quickly how such a fire was possible, in order to avoid similar situations in the future, and obviously this terrible accident shows us once again, if necessary, why a profound reform of the system is absolutely necessary of fires. When asked by a journalist if such a tragedy could be repeated in other parts of the country, the President of Romania replied: “God forbid! But I think the teams that went there to verify the causes of this fire will communicate as soon as exactly how things are going and it is clear that lessons must be learned from here to prevent accidents of this kind in other places”.
Many doctors point out that ATI departments are overloaded with work, equipment in ATI departments and that such tragedies could occur elsewhere, the reporter continued.
