What rules are in force for Romanians going to France?

On Monday, January 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the French authorities had removed the measure of isolation and repetition of the PCR test for infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus for European citizens arriving in France.

All persons over 11 years of age who want to travel to France by air or sea from the European Union – and therefore Romanians – have to present on board a negative PCR molecular test for SARS infection. -CoV-2, carried out with a maximum 72 hours before the trip, transmits MAE.

Cross-border workers, carriers, and passengers arriving by land (road or rail) are exempt from the COVID-19 test submission measure.

What rules are in force for Romanians going to Germany?

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all people, regardless of their nationality, who enter Germany after being in one of the other risk areas – Category 3, which also includes Romania – at any time during the last 10 days prior to arrival you must submit a negative PCR or molecular antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, in German or English, performed no later than 48 hours prior to arrival. entry into German territory or be tested no later than 48 hours after arrival.

These people are obliged to travel directly, with the minimization of contacts, and to isolate themselves at home or other suitable accommodation for a period of 10 days after arrival (the legal term used is “quarantine”). Compliance with this obligation of self-isolation is verified by the Land authorities both at random and in the usual epidemiological investigations.

If people arriving from risk areas begin to experience specific COVID-19 symptoms (shortness of breath, cough, fever or loss of taste / smell) within 10 days of entering Germany, self-isolation becomes mandatory even if the test result is negative. and the immediate contact of the local health authority.

The main exceptions to the quarantine measure refer to people who: are in transit; do not stay on German territory for more than 24 hours; visits for family reasons (to first degree relatives or spouses with different residences) of up to 72 hours; ensures the professional transport of people and goods, etc. Various other exceptions apply, with differences from state to state, in duly justified situations.
