Forced intervention by special troops in the Bucharest metro where several sympathizers were taken from the train and handcuffed on the platform. The fans carried smoke bombs, but also several knives.
The fans were part of the gallery of the CSA Steaua Bucharest football team, according to a press release from the Gendarmerie.
„On the occasion of the football match between the teams FC DINAMO 1948 Bucharest and CSA Steaua București, which takes place at the Dinamo stadium, the General Directorate of Gendarmes of the Municipality of Bucharest communicates the following:
At around 3 pm, in the immediate vicinity of the stadium, two groups gathered, a group of about 60 Dinamo fans and a group of about 100 Steaua fans.
When the gendarmes tried to separate the two groups and disperse them, the sympathizers came into conflict with the police.
The group of Steaua supporters returned to the Ștefan cel Mare metro station and at the time of driving the fans, two gendarmes were beaten, requiring intervention to immobilize and arrest the attackers.
As a result of this conflict, approximately 30 people were transferred to the police station, in order to take legal measures ”, the Gendarmerie statement shows.
