The mayor general, Nicușor Dan, announced this Tuesday, in a message posted on Facebook, that the mayor’s office will pay the outstanding salaries of four municipal companies. The mayor announces that the administration he directs cannot pay the salaries of two companies: the Municipal Sustainable Development Company and the Municipal Transport Management Company.
“These days, around the holidays, we will pay the salaries of four municipal companies with old wage arrears. We managed to reach the salaries paid as of October 31 for all but two companies.
We could not pay the salaries to the Municipal Sustainable Development Company, because it has income exclusively in terms of investments, and the City Council has blocked accounts for investments. In addition, I did not pay the salaries of the Municipal Transportation Management Company, because it does not have a contract with the City Council.
The previous administration applied the principle “after me the flood” and did not even worry about paying salary obligations, and “taking care of the people” was just a campaign slogan, “wrote Nicușor Dan.
