The Alba Public Health Directorate (DSP) presented to the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) the proposal to quarantine several cities of Alba, localities where there is a higher incidence, declared on Saturday the prefect Nicolae Albu by AGERPRES.
“Today we had, again, a meeting with the decision makers of the Provincial Committee for Emergency Situations (CJSU) and the incidents were analyzed. Unfortunately, there is an increase every day. We reached Alba Iulia and Blaj with an incidence of more than 10 per thousand inhabitants. There is a DSP quarantine proposal sent for approval to the INSP for localities with a very high incidence, ”said the prefect of Alba.
According to Nicolae Albu, if there is a favorable opinion from INSP, CJSU Alba will meet urgently and make decisions accordingly.
The prefect recalled that four cities of Alba, Alba Iulia, Blaj, Sebeş and Cugir, respectively, have a high incidence.
The municipalities of Blaj and Alba Iulia registered an infection rate with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Saturday of 10.08, compared to 9.96 on Friday.
In total, since the start of the pandemic, 7,726 people have tested positive in the county, of which 4,654 have been cured. There were also 199 deaths.
The total number of tests performed so far in the county has reached 114,672, of which more than 95,000 unique tests, meaning more than a quarter of the population has already been tested.
