As the figures show, Gabriela Firea is the first at the top of the trust of Romanians in political personalities (37%). In second place is Klaus Iohannis (34%).
Madalina Hideg, scientific director of the ARGUMENT survey institute, was asked how she explains the data.
“It is a sign that, at the national level, Gabriela Firea has a good image. In fact, I saw before that Romanians do not have much confidence in the presidential institution and this is also reflected in the president. Gabriela Firea was much more visible in the public space considering that she is also directly involved in these local elections. The differences are not very big, they are not 10 percent, they are only a small percentage, “Mădălina Hideg told DC News.
When asked if Gabriela Firea had a real chance in last year’s presidential election, Mădălina Hideg said: “It is possible that she had a chance. Mrs Dăncilă facilitated the path of women in politics because it was the first time that we Romanians had a prime minister. This has changed little the public perception that politics is the exclusive world of men. So yeah, I think Gabriela Firea might have a shot. Maybe, who knows, he was in Cotroceni today ”.
